Acceptable Digital Art:

  • Print-Ready PDF (PREFERRED METHOD) *
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe InDesign (Please send Collected Files)
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • EPS
  • High-resolution JPG** (min 300 dpi)
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • If you need to submit a file in a different format than those listed above, please contact your Sales OR Customer Service Representative to find out if the format is useable.
    * Print-Ready should include any bleeds & crop marks. All folding, cutting, die-lines, etc. should be removed. If you need to send these, please create a separate file.
** JPG format should only be used for photos and possibly logos if no vector format is available

    Logos:
Logos should be in either an EPS or Vector format. Logos that are being printed two-color on press MUST be in either of these formats so that they can be correctly separated into spot colors. JPG & TIFF files are acceptable for digital production, but they must be high-resolution and will be printed in 4 color process.

    Fonts:
All files should be sent with fonts converted to outlines or curves. Source files should either have fonts converted or include the fonts in a zipped file. For files submitted in MS Word or Publisher using custom fonts, either convert to PDF or include the font file. Otherwise we will do our best to match the fonts with what we have available.

    CMYK & Spot Colors:
All files being printed digitally should be set up for CMYK printing. All files being printed on press should be set for for either CMYK or spot colors. If you do not have a pantone color book or know how to convert files to CMYK or Spot Colors, our design & prepress department will be happy to assist you.

    Linked Images:
If a source file contains linked images or graphics, the linked files should be included in zipped folder along with the source file, otherwise they should be embedded in the file itself.  Images should be at a resolution of 300 DPI for best print quality.  If you are printing a picture at a larger size than the native file, the resolution should be high enough to prevent pixelation.

    Bleeds & Margins:
If a file has bleeds (meaning the printed areas go right up to the edge, there is no empty margin) then files must be submitted with bleeds included. We need at least a ⅛” bleed around each edge. On all pieces, there should be at least a ⅛” margin around the edges to allow for cutting. This includes pieces with bleed, even if an image bleeds off the edge, there should be a margin between the edge and any text.

If you should have any questions, our graphic designers or prepress operators would be happy to assist you!
